(Answer: the rubber pads and lumber spacers as needed to adjust to the gradient of the shower pan and to make them level. Please use as necessary!)
We received this kind update (with pictures!) from a NY client for whom we supplied 2 hinoki duckboards for shower booths.
Size and detailing fine-tuning was done thru their very professional architecture office. Ah~ people complain about NY but working with such wonderful and positive people reminds me of the 2 marvelous years I spent in NY between 1996 and 1998.

2019年11月7日 at 1:09 AMLooking for a Hinoki cypress wood grille floor for a shower and tub area. It would have to be custom built for an area around 7’ x 7’. Because the underfloor will have a small slope to drain the water, it would need to sit on adjustable spikes. Is this something you could provide?

Yes, we can provide the floor grating.
After you verify the proposal and the costs, we will be able to provide plan/section drawings.
To make the grating easier to transport and to move for maintenance, I am considering splitting the 7’x7′ in 6 modules (floor grating becomes heavier when it is in use as wood absorbs the humidity)
We are calculating 7′ x 7′ = 2130mm x 2130mm
There are 2 options for the material:

1) 6 pcs of “Sunoko” floor grate panel 1065 x 710 x H55mm:
a) in case of Hinoki wood: 352,000. JPY

b) in case of Asnaro wood: 295,000. JPY
2) Packaging: 117x81x32cm reinforced cardboard box (Tri-Wall): 12,000. JPY
3) Shipment via air freight to NY?, USA door (account 10 days for CFS
operations,transit, customs clearance etc.) : 86,000. JPY
Expiry: valid until 17 Nov. 2019. (by reason of fuel surcharge mainly)
Notes:
* if the receiver is a corporation and has equipment to unload the box from the truck,there is a saving of of 12,000 JPY
** Delivery is done with normal truck and delivered in front of the
site. 1 or 2 people (or forklift) from the site (your construction company?)
should help to lift the tub and unload it from the truck.
(Gross weight is about 75KG)

Yes, we can ship to Australia.
Also, yes, we can do custom sizes. Usually it is a good idea in splitting the duckboard in panels to make it more practical the shipping as well as the cleaning and maintenance.
If you send us a plan of your room (a sketch will be fine) we can advise on how to split it and prepare a quotation for your reference.
